Winter Style Shortcuts To Stave Off Seasonal Sartorial Bordom

how to avoid seasonal sartorial boredom this winter

Keeping seasonal sartorial boredom at bay

As far as I’m concerned, it’s officially winter. Mr OS says it’s not really winter until December but for the purposes of my wardrobe and this blog post, it’s winter!

Right now, the (slight) drop in temperatures is still new and I’m not sartorially bored with the season yet. Seasonal Sartorial Boredom is a real thing people. Don’t fall foul of it.

Lift your style out of the colder month doldrums with a few style tips I’ve picked up from Pinterest, Instagram and some of my favourite style blogs.

Some I’ve tried on for size, some have yet to come to fruition. Either way I refuse to let seasonal sartorial boredom take hold…

A few of my favourite things so far this season? Circle bags – mine is from Mango and this one by Mansur Gavriel is the dream.

Play with the unexpected combos – I love the whole midi or maxi tulle skirt with a super chunky sweater. I’m thinking this one (£50 at ASOS) with a black cashmere sweater and flats or Converse. This will probably be my most worn outfit in the Holidays.

Look out for the details – I flippin’ love those little extras! Denim with raw or stepped hems, bows on sleeves, tops with detail on the back and any kind of statement white shirt gets my vote.

And can we talk about tucks for a moment? The “Oops my hair got left tucked into my cashmere scarf” tuck – the chunky sweater (again) tucked into the waistband of a skirt (perfect example & perfect sweater here!) and of course the half tucked shirt into jeans. Possibly my favourite of all the tucks.

Take a look at my Style Tips & Tricks board over on Pinterest for lots more inspiration… and plenty of tucks!

Oh and a small shopping heads up. In case you hadn’t noticed the Black Friday sale madness is on its way and as I was putting this post together I noticed that some of the pieces are already reduced, including the La Redoute check coat. It was £75 and now has 40% off with code BLACKFRIDAY

As always, you can click and shop the pieces in the images… and I would definitely recommend checking back for discounts as the week progresses if you see something you fancy.

The #Enabler is back! 😘
