Cool Breezes & Lightweight Summer Knits
I sometimes think I have the ability to control the weather with my blog post schedule.
Today’s post is all about a UK unpredictable summer favourite, those ever practical lightweight summer knits.
And right on cue the skies have clouded over and here I am reaching for exactly that!
I get cold when its twenty degrees plus out…
Even when the sun has been out all day long, I still get chilly in the garden of an evening.
Mind you, I am that person that feels the cold anywhere at any time. Mr OS has me pegged at legendary status for saying I’m cold when its twenty plus degrees out.
I generally feel the cold the most at the beach. It doesn’t matter how warm it is, if there’s a sufficiently chilly breeze, just looking at all the staunch British sun worshippers toughing it out in their swimsuits makes me shiver!
Oddly enough my legs don’t feel the cold as much as the rest of me (anyone else find this?), so you’ll often find me in shorts and varying degrees of a sweater.
Pineapple Earrings – hush (sold out) | Sunglasses – Quay Australia | NARS Velvet Lip Glide in Playpen | Linen V Jumper – hush c/o | Denim Cut-Offs – Topshop | Watch – Shore Projects for The White Company (similar here) | Bracelet set – Accessorize | Nails – Essie in Really Red | Bag – Wood Grey | Sandals – The White Company
When its a bit warmer, I’ll happily shed my favourite heavy knit hitters for something a little lighter.
And maybe even swap out the normal monochrome for a hint of colour – only blush as opposed to full on pink mind!
Sweaters & Cut-Offs
all summer long…
Not only that but it allows one more option for wearing one of my favourite style combos!
Below I’ve included a few more favourite lightweight summer knit styles should you be in the market for a cooler day cover up.
But first, an unrelated side note – have you discovered Quay Australia sunnies yet? They are incredible when it comes to style and value for money!
Style Stalking again…
The quality is amazing. Try a pair and see for yourself – these are next on my list!
