Create a simple and stylish cheese
board supper in ten minutes!
I think it was either last year or the year before that I kept seeing the #Cheesemas hashtag. Now this is a hashtag that makes me very happy!
I love pretty much ALL Christmas food but most of all, I love the opportunities for cheese.
The main event lunch of turkey with all the trimmings is good… but the cold platter spread complete with a cheese board later on in the evening is greater.
And if you’re thinking of inviting friends in for a glass of wine or two during the Holidays, why bother faffing with canapés when you can pretty much base a table filled with foods for picking around cheese?
Round To Mine for cheese and wine!
Just buy a selection of your favourite cheeses (for the record I love Brie, Comte, really strong cheddar, Stilton and Wensleydale), lay them out on boards and add crackers and hunks of gorgeous bread.
Scatter figs, nuts, fruit, celery and chutneys liberally and Hey Presto, you have sufficient food to soak up the alcohol with and a stylishly simple Christmas table.

My other favourite #Cheesemas opportunities?
A baked camembert spiked with garlic and rosemary and a baguette to share, tear and dip on Christmas Eve with Mr OS, a chunk of Stilton accompanied by a really good glass of red or (sorry not sorry), a bowl of ready salted crisps sprinkled with black pepper and a hunk of cheddar.
Stick a (cheese) fork in me – I’m done!
