Ooh look… is this another post where I open with a conversation about the weather?? How very British of me.
But when I was drafting this last week, it was grey sky central… again. Collating a spring selection that’s good value for money and has a distinctly sunny feel to it did help to lift my mood a little so maybe by the time this is published, we’ll have had some spring sunshine… here’s hoping!
Otherwise there’s only one thing for it. We have to work on the basis of wear the clothes and the sun will shine. Either that or emigrate…

If a little Frugal Friday beauty shopping is on the cards, I can highly recommend hopping on over to Feelunique or Beauty Expert. I source lots of my favourite brands like Aesop, Eve Lom, Kérastase and Kiehl’s and from both of as they have frequent offers and really good bundle packages too.
One of my favourites is a multi-use product (always good value) – Pot Rouge. I recently bought one in Powder Pink and it’s perfect for everyday cheek glow and a quick slick of lip colour too.
Wearing a spring knit feels like the only sensible option right now – this white one at River Island is a great high street option. If the sunshine plays ball then it would look perfect with those Topshop boyfriend jeans, Mint Velvet espadrilles and the hush bag of the summer.
You may not think that the Jil Sander shirt is particularly frugal at £151 but seeing as it was originally £370, this Outnet find makes for a great investment buy should you be in the market for one. And for high street accessories, it would be hard to beat the Oasis Bon Voyage clutch and those Accessorize pom pom slides. I think they look way more expensive than their £35 price tag.
When it comes to scented candles at home, in terms of value for money/quality of fragrance, I think The White Company are pretty hard to beat. My current spring favourite is Ocean Tide – it makes me feel like I’m never too far from the beach…
Happy Frugal Friday! xx
