Exploring The SS18 Greenhouse Trend From A By Amara

minimal white bathroom with botanical touches

Feeling those spring vibes!

I think you may have guessed by now that I’m an advocate of a fuss free interior – lots of white, lots of light with occasional bouts of texture and detail thrown in to break it all up.

But I completely get that a minimal home is not everyone’s cup of tea and detail and contrast aplenty has it’s own appeal too. I’ve walked into many houses where the overall feel has a stylish eclectic vibe and have completely fallen in love with it.

But I also walk away knowing that if I tried to achieve the same, it would more than likely end up looking overcrowded and messy. So I stick with what I know – mostly minimal with the odd detail here and there.

introducing the SS18 Greenhouse Trend

When Amara asked if I would like to be a brand ambassador for their SS18 Greenhouse Trend from A By Amara, I was hit with a case of full on spring fever when I saw the beautiful fresh feel to the imagery.

I accepted without hesitation as I love Amara and we’ve purchased more than our fair share of bits and pieces from them to add finishing touches all around the house.

And having had a sneak preview of the collection, I was thrilled to see there were some minimal pieces in there as well as those with a more rustic, country house feel.

I also quite liked the idea of a challenge to self to see if I could blend a few of the more detailed Greenhouse products with some favourites from the A By Amara range into our minimal home.

Living on the edge of the New Forest and by the coast, as soon as my thoughts turn to the warmer seasons, I’m always on the look out for any touches that help to bring a little of the outside in.

And I think the SS18 Greenhouse Trend is perfect if that’s your thing too!

I think this is a really cleverly positioned collection with something for everyone.

As shown here in my favourite selection of images, you can use it to add in the smallest of touches to an essentially minimal space, or go full on eclectic and create detailed botanical vignettes that still look blissfully calm and natural.

In the first instance I gravitated straight towards the images of the styled bathroom as this room is next on our home make-over list!

I could definitely get on board with going for a light and airy all-white room with a few fresh plant and flower elements to create a calming sanctuary of a bathroom.

Although as we’re yet to agree the scale of the makeover (refresh or refurb), I might have to refrain from getting carried away with any kind of vision for now!

Some of my favourite combinations from both the Greenhouse and the A By Amara regular collection as styled here are the crochet textured cushions, the Marwood pillar candle holders and Marwood vase and that Agate side table.

Need I say more – that to me is interior and Instagram heaven!

  1. I didn’t realise this was a trend, but I’m all over it!
Our house it’s on the edge of woodland and an EU nature habitat, so our living room which looks out on this is inspired by nature. Fresh green is in a lot of the accent pieces, taking inspiration from what is outside rather than tropical greenery. Plants also are a strong element inside too!
That cushion may just end up on our sofa (If my OH was here, he’d be groaning at the thought of another cushion!)

    1. You see – you’re way ahead of the game!
I think the whole outside in is just such a wonderful idea – I just need to work on my plant nurturing skills I think!
And I’m in agreement – you can never have too many cushions… although most men seem to disagree with this! xx

    1. So true Helen – bathrooms can get neglected when it comes to accessories – I plan on giving ours lots of attention when it gets re-done soon!
So glad you like the styling in the imagery -t’s great for inspiration isn’t it?
      Have a lovely weekend!
      Amanda xx
