The Autumn Minimal Edit

Maybe it’s because its the season of all things cosy and hygge but I think this autumn minimal edit might just end up being my favourite one yet.

It has a distinctly Nordic vibe and as you probably know by now, that always works for me!

1 Helmut Lang Sweater | 2 RayBan Sunglasses | 3 Chanel SPF 30 | 4 Byredo Candle | 5 Diptyque Candle Set | 6 Oliver Bonas Pouch | 7 Theory Shirt | 8 Kin Sweater Dress | 9 John Lewis Teacup | 10 Skagerak Teapot | 11 Oasis Coated Jeans | 12 hush Cashmere Wrist Warmers | 13 hush Ankle Boots | 14 Oliver Bonas Tote | 15 Garden Trading Bowl | 16 Topshop Coat

Oversized sweaters and something in cashmere is of course a pre-requisite. Ditto the scented candle.

And I’m sure I’ve said it before but the Diptyque Wick Trimmer is the cleverest little device I ever purchased. No more poking about with scissors in the bottom of the candle jar.

Tea is a big thing for me at the moment – I actively look forward to that 3.00pm cup every day… and this is usually followed by a 3.30pm cup too. So I think a new teapot to pour from in style and a cup to cuddle in close is completely justifiable.

I’ve got leather leggings on my mind this week – namely because I bit the bullet and invested in these. Definitely no regrets – I flippin’ love them! But prior to owning these beauties I always found a pair of coated skinny jeans to be a great alternative – these from Oasis fit the bill nicely.

And if you’re still holding out for (a very) late Indian summer then don’t forget your SPF and sunnies!

Wishing you a happy autumnal weekend ahead full of Skandi style and plenty of opportunities for indulging in hygge and hibernation!

  1. Hi Amanda, I wear coated skinnies regularly through the winter and am seriously considering investing in leather. My main concern is sagging and bagging at the knees and seat ( the leather, not me, although!). Is it an issue? Love the. Log btw.

    1. Hi Jane,
Investing in the leather option is a big step I know – I’ve been thinking about it for years!
Having just bought the Hush pair and worn them two or three times, I see no bagging yet – of the leggings at least but me might be a different matter!
I don’t know whether spending an eye watering fortune means they keep their shape – I know lots of people swear by the Joesph pair but I couldn’t spend
      £700 on them!
Good luck and enjoy the search!

    2. Hi Jane

Have you seen the M&S Leather Ponte Sunny Leggings? They are leather fronts and Ponte fabric at the back for only £129. Product code T594684.

Unfortunately they are put of stock at present but bound to be back in before Christmas.

I’m thinking of getting a pair

  2. I’m trying desperately to simplify my life and wardrobe, love all your suggestions, but particularly looking for the perfect white shirt to keep in stock. Have you worn the Theory shirt? I hesitate to order it because I prefer all cotton, any thoughts?

    1. Hi Jolain,
Thank you – so pleased to hear and I get you on the perfect white shirt!
I haven’t seen this particular Theory shirt but I included it as I love the label. I’m not sure I’ve ever purchased one that is 100% cotton – definitely best to purchase an investment such as that in store maybe or with a brand that has free returns so perhaps you could order a number of options?
I find the shirts in fabric mixes to be good at hush and Baukjen too.
      Happy White Shirt Hunting!
      Amanda xx
