Outfit Under £100 : Summer Brunch With Friends

Having recently updated the Summer Style Under £100 section on the shopping page, it sparked off an idea for a “challenge myself” type blog post.

How about an entire outfit under £100? Not being one to shy away from a good style challenge, even if I have set it myself, I began thinking of lots of different scenarios where a little budget buy shopping might be in order. Can I feel a new series of posts coming on? Maybe…

It’s always good to invest a little more in the wardrobe staples – those timeless pieces you’ll love forever and know that you’ll wear multiple times. But when a strict budget is called for and a new look is needed, a girl has to pull a little tighter on the purse strings.

First up is a casual summer brunch outfit under £100 for a date with the girls. If your girlfriends are anything like mine, they always appreciate the appearance of a new item or two.

So how about the entire look for the princely sum of £98.29?

Lip & cheek smudge in Red Shoes – Topshop

Black contrast textured chain cross-body bag – New Look

MOTO bleach ripped Hayden shorts – Topshop

Pink border print kaftan – Dorothy Perkins

White moonstone cuff – New Look

Silver pointed ballet flats – ASOS

Some of my favourite budget buys can be found in abundance at ASOS. They’re brilliant for a mix of versatile staples and seasonal trend pieces that you don’t want to invest too much of your hard-earned fashion sterling in.

And don’t forget style seeker central, Topshop. If there’s a new season trend about to hit the stores, you can bet your Balenciaga that they’ll already be on the case. Check out Dorothy Perkins, New Look, River Island, Mango and Warehouse too.

Where do you shop for budget looks and would you like to see an Outfit Under £100 series of posts on The Online Stylist?

  1. I LOVE this post! I am all about the budget shopping so this is right up my street – and yes, more please!!! I like to buy classic, staple items in the sales then top up with budget buys to add a little zing to my wardrobe throughout the different seasons. xxx
