Out and about in Dorset and the new forest!
How’s your week been? It’s a scorcher of a summer so far right? And so that feels like the perfect time to show you the rest of our out and about in Dorset trip with Maserati.
If you missed part one of the adventure, you can see it here.
As this ridiculously out of the ordinary week sped by, one of our days out involved taking the car across on the chain ferry to Studland on the Isle of Purbeck. Yes, you heard me right… it was definitely a bit of a Gulp moment as Mr OS drove the car onto the ferry – rather him than me is all I can say!
Off in search of coffee, we stopped at Knoll Beach. I can’t believe I hadn’t been here before – it’s truly beautiful. It’s part of the National Trust so as you’d expect, there’s everything you need including a restaurant, toilets and very cool gift shop. Oh and coffee on The Deck. Did I mention coffee?

We then headed past The Pig On The Beach, only just resisting the temptation to stop in, past Old Harry Rocks and on to Corfe Castle. I feel like in this part of Dorset you’re truly spoilt for choice when it comes to things to do, be it a family day or just out and about with friends or loved ones.
We got to Lulworth Cove in no time, mostly due to the fact that we were hungry, in search of a picnic spot and Mr OS was keen to put his foot down on the open road. As most men would be given a Maserati and an instruction to “Head for the sea!”
At the foot of Durdle Door, (the walk over the top has become very popular with Instagrammers), we had our own (fairly) Pinterest worthy picnic and yep you guessed it… more Veuve Clicquot.. for me. This time the Rosé blend – only fitting as the label is celebrating it’s 200th anniversary this year. Like I need an excuse when it comes to opportunities for VC!
And so onwards to the weekend and yet another birthday celebration, this time a meal at The Pig in Brockenhurst with my brother in law and his family.
I got to wear my hush printed maxi dress that I’d had my eye on buying since it first came out but kept on putting off. Because you know…. its not monochrome.
But I caved in and made a purchase just before my birthday week and am now wafting about in a floral printed number all summer long!
And then on Sunday, our last day with the car *sob*, we did a couple of outfit shoots including this one for Everlane, with me performing my I’m Not Proud, I’ll Change In The Back Of The Car manoeuvre again.
You’d be surprised at how easy it is to change outfits in the back of a Maserati!

And sadly, our crazy week with this super cool Italian beauty soon came to an end.
But what a week of celebration and fun! Thank you Maserati for making it extra special!
And to finish, I’ll leave you with part two of the Vlog – if you missed Part One you can find it here.
Feel free to be impressed at how I manage to use the words “throbbing engine” in a most meaningful manner, have a legit Oranges In A Net Bag situation as part of a picnic and catch Mr OS washing the car… yet again.
There’s also a moment where my brother in law offers to “stage” his dessert for the purposes of social media content. I love it when the whole family becomes invested in your social media obsession and offers to get involved…
