At Home With Aspinal Of London

An Online Stylist Home Shoot

It seems only natural that a love of style pertaining to what you wear will quickly spill over into where you live too.

A couple of years ago, as I began to expand the blog content to include more lifestyle elements, I would find myself constantly falling down interiors rabbit holes on Pinterest and Instagram.

This in turn has spilled over into real life and has lead us to look at each room in the house to see what we can do to bring it in line with our current tastes over the next few years.

So when Aspinal Of London got in touch recently and asked if they could do an Online Stylist home shoot, despite it being right at the beginning of the school summer holidays with work schedules about to go into overdrive, I jumped at the chance.

Especially when they said I could choose one of their beautiful bags to keep for myself – Hello Lottie… with my embossed initials!

I also thought it would be a good opportunity to share a few more interior details here too as since the recent (incredibly exciting!) Sunday Times Home feature, I’ve had a few direct messages via Instagram asking for some home tour Stories content.

I’ll add it to the To Do list!

Choosing the additional Aspinal props for the shoot was a no-brainer. With autumn lingering tantalisingly over the horizon, there had to be cashmere.

And seeing as I’m attempting to fit in time to journal more often, I was immediately drawn to the beautiful Envelope Wrap Refillable Journal in beautiful brown leather.

Finally, because a girl cannot survive on small bags alone, as stated at least once here, the Essential Tote in leather and suede was my larger handbag weapon of choice!

  1. Great choice of bag by Aspinal! I just invested in the pebble slouch in peacock colour and I love it as it’s the perfect size for everyday. Love the jumpsuit too! I have spent the summer looking for one and found the perfect navy one from Whistles in the sale. This Eileen Fisher one looks great for everyday or evening.

    1. Hey Katie,
Aspinal bags are just gorgeous aren’t they?
And don’t get me started on how great jumpsuits are! I love wearing them – always great for comfort but also the confidence factor too I find. A navy one sounds perfect!
