Thoughts On Designing A Life You Love | A Guest Post

Designing a life you love

Are You Designing A Life You Love?

Hey look at that!

There’s two words we don’t get to see very much in the blogging world anymore – guest post.

Back in the day, genuine guest posting was a real thing and it happened often.

And then along came those emails from Gmail addresses you didn’t know, offering to write you a “guest post as I have a topic I think your readers will LOVE!”. Uh huh. I can smell a “Let me place a text link on your blog… for nothing” email at fifty paces!

Anyhoo – back to the genuine, truly lovely kind of guest post request.

After reading my comment in this post about success meaning that I’ve designed a life I love, my amazing friend (and recent Venetian travel buddy) Monica from The Elgin Avenue, asked if I’d like to write a post for her blog.

It runs a little deeper
than that pinterest quote…

My former creative consultant and just general all round, flippin’ fantastic female, Monica is one of those people, who quite frankly, if she asked me to jump through fiery hoops for her, I would!

As someone I now consider a wonderful friend, I was thrilled to be asked to share my thoughts on what designing a life I love life looks like for me.

Clue… it runs a little deeper than that Pinterest quote!

Click on over to Monica’s blog for a read – I hope you enjoy!

Lots of love,

Amanda xx

  1. I just read your post and it’s so beautifully put. As somebody currently going through a shift in what I thought life would look like I’m trying to keep that phrase ‘design a life you love’ at the forefront of my mind.
My favourite quote from the article was
“The past has taught me what I want from my future.”

    1. Hey Fiona,

I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed Amanda’s post – Amanda’s the ultimate sage isn’t she?! The quote you pulled from the article is one of my favourites too.

I hope that your shift unfolds in a way which allows you to “design a life you love”.

    2. Hi Fiona,
Ah thank you so much and I’m so pleased it spoke to you. I think whenever we have (or want) to make life changes, its such a brilliant quote to have in mind.
I was so happy to write it for Monica!

  2. Oh Amanda it is such a joy to share The Elgin Avenue with you, and your incredibly wise and kind words with my readers! We’re both so very lucky to get a dose of Amanda this week!

I second Fiona’s thoughts above! I adore the post, and shall be revisiting it myself often!

    Sending lots of love,

    Monica xx

    P.S. No fiery hoops – promise !

    1. Monica – you’re so welcome – it made me really happy to write this post so thank you for asking me!
