Ankles Out Jumper On

ankles out jumper on

At the risk of sounding like I constantly talk about the British weather, this year I adopted the Ankles Out Jumper On strategy to cope with a somewhat unpredictable spring.

I mean what else is there to do when you’ve just treated yourself to these Boden flats and you REALLY want to to wear them but that chilly breeze just won’t quit?

I refuse to only be in summer shoes for just five months of the year and so told my ankles and lower leg region to toughen up and ploughed ahead with the exposure plan. Try it – it works!

Either that or by the time the cold sets in properly my extremities have actually gone numb and I’m blissfully unaware of the frostbite slowly setting in.

This outfit was shot at the end of April when the temperatures were a little colder so Marlene and I kept warm on the day by indulging in brunch and coffee at EGGBREAK in Notting Hill.

If you haven’t been here, I highly recommend a visit next time you’re in London – the food is out of this world delicious and the staff super friendly.

But back to those flats…and that bag. The shoes kept popping up in my Instagram feed and I thought that by the time I got around to checking them out on Boden, they’d be sold out. But no…shoe fate intervened and now we’re very happy together! If you decide to purchase you might want to try half a size up for added comfort factor.

As for the bag, it’s become something of a permanent feature about my person ever since Aspinal of London so kindly sent it to me. Roomy enough to carry everything you need but compact enough to wear cross-body, it ups the luxe factor for every look.

Have you been adopting the ankles out jumper on strategy this spring?

  1. Oh Amanda! The shoes and the bag have had me turning greener and greener with (healthy) envy every time I catch up with your posts. This is definitely the year to give ankles an airing, love the look in you!
