Needle Point

No…not something I have taken up – more of a brand that I’d like to send you in the direction of. As seen in The Telegraph and Grazia magazine, Needle is a new luxury knitwear brand offering a haven of winter warmers in the form of contemporary pieces at affordable prices.

The timelessly gorgeous garments are manufactured in Italy from pure cashmere,  alpaca blend yarns and extra fine merino. Founder and managing director Lizzie Cawthray previously worked as a knitwear developer at L.K. Bennett before going it alone and launching the AW13 collection. Drawing on her cookery skills, she keeps her team happy with food bribery on photo shoots and decided that the Made In Italy label is a great excuse for indulging in gelato whilst on production visits. Food and cosy knitwear…Lizzie is a woman after my own heart!

1. Capri colour-blocked striped jumper – £125 2. Florence honeycomb-stitch jumper with back detailing – £145 3. Edinburgh cashmere colour-blocked shawl – £165 4. Edinburgh cashmere colour-blocked V-neck jumper – £175 5. London spot-striped jumper dress – £165

I found lots of covetable pieces in this collection and lots of cashmere too. I think my favourite has to be the Florence knit with a neutral colour that makes it the perfect layering companion, textured knit and back popper fastening detail.

I’m looking forward to seeing what Needle offer next season. What do you think of the brand and do you have a favourite piece?
