Last Wednesday I caught several trains with a final destination of The Dressing Room boutique in St Albans set firmly in my sights. Myself and a few other bloggers had been invited to the Insiders Event to take a look at the freshly re-branded store and get a sneak peak at the impending makeover of the online retail site.
The Dressing Room was established in 2005 by retail expert Deryane Tadd. Putting her twenty years of experience to very good use, Deryane and her team of trained stylists provide a top to toe retail experience in beautifully chic surroundings. Stocking cool Parisian brands and Scandinavian collections alongside top denim brands such as 7 For All Mankind, J Brand and Current/Elliot, The Dressing Room is a veritable fashion lovers heaven.
Once my fellow bloggers arrived and we’d all replenished our caffeine levels, Deryane talked us through the rebranding and invited us to explore, try on some clothes and make use of the styling services on offer. Six fashion bloggers didn’t need to be asked twice!
I decided it would be a treat to be the one being styled for a change and so, having discussed my growing obsession with leather jean style leggings with Sam, she set to work putting me a couple of outfits together.
Wearing: Becksondergaard E Supersize Nova Star wool & silk blend scarf – £69, Twist & Tango Thora wool mix sweater in Rose – £105, 7 For All Mankind The Skinny in coated black – £200, Ash Jalouse Spiral black suede boots – £145
Combining one obsession for a pair of wet look jeans with another in the form of a pale rose pink knit, this look was my absolute favourite. The jeans came home with me along with the Great Plains asymmetric buckle cardigan and I’m still contemplating the boots and daydreaming about the jumper. If it weren’t for Christmas being just around the corner, I dread to think what further damage I could’ve inflicted on my wallet.
