Having not spent our annual family vacation in this country for a few years, I don’t think either Mr Online Stylist or I had many expectations of how our Cornwall trip would pan out. With factors such as the unpredictable British summer, a slightly crazy labrador pup and a child who needs a LOT of stimulation to keep her entertained, we didn’t envisage a restful or relaxing holiday.
To be honest, it couldn’t have been any better. The accommodation at Whalesborough Farm was perfect and exceeded our every need. Apart from one afternoon, the weather was glorious and once more I fell in love with the sprawling coast and countryside views typical of the Cornish holidays from childhood memory. As always, my resident photographer was on hand to capture so many moments beautifully…
My holiday packing heroes were the dress, sweatshirt and sequin sneakers from Next, trusty Hunter wellies and the snuggly Weird Fish hoodie that I bought in a surf shop in Bude.
I also lived in my Gap denim cut off’s and white shirt purchased in the sale, a couple of pairs of Marks & Spencer jeans and the gorgeous Carrera sunglasses that Jimmy Choo kindly sent me just before we left. The Tory Burch basket bag was the perfect day out carry-all and the Seasalt coat I bought earlier in the year was great for dog walking.
The memories of a perfect family holiday will definitely keep me going through the final days of summer and autumn and winter months ahead.
Happy weekend! xx
