The J.Crew Sale Edit

My obsession with J.Crew first started when the brand became available to buy on Net-A-Porter. Next came their own UK site. It’s taken me a while but I made my first purchase recently – the search for a simple, go with everything, black sweater led me there and straight to the prize. More on that one later.

My parcel arrived, beautifully packaged and included a small catalogue showcasing cashmere beanies, pave bracelets and a sequin striped Tee. Could I be anymore smitten? Now I’m signed up for emails, I find myself browsing the site daily…dangerous, very dangerous. But to put the fruits of my labour to good use, I noticed the sale is still on, so here are some of my favourite pieces. And if you shop before 20 Jan, there’s an extra 30% off with the code STYLEFIND. All prices quoted below are exclusive of tax.

1. Waverly Chino – was £57.41, now £24.77 2. Stretch perfect shirt – was £59.47, now £24.77 3. Cashmere hat – was £56.17, now £37.16 4. No. 2 Pencil Boucle skirt – was £105.73, now £74.73 5. Collection pink shimmer skirt – was £213.11, now £148.67 6. Jules dress in Trompe L’Oeil lace – was £196.59, now £140.41 7. Collection sequin colour block tank – was £122.25, now £66.07 8. Vintage cotton long-sleeve tee – was £28.50, now £20.64

Meanwhile I’m thinking J.Crew online is where I’ll be doing a little birthday shopping come the spring. Followed by a trip to 165 Regent St later in the year where the first store to open outside North America will be located.

Have you found anything in the J.Crew sale and will you be visiting the new store when it opens?

It’s so funny that you should publish this post today as I have spent the last 24 hours wrestling with how to spend my Christmas money and this won in Heather Pond: http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Navigation/Sale/AllProducts/PRDOVR~30001/99102876278/ENE~1+2+3+22+4294967294+20~~~20+17+4294966948~90~~~~~~~/30001.jsp
It would take me all day to list all the things I want on their website, and I am desperate to get to NY (absolutely no plans) just to go to J Crew! I cant wait to see the new shop and I just hope we dont get shafted too much on the exchange rate & inflated prices which is my one grip about US stores opening up this side of the pond. xx

I love J.Crew – after I went off them for a while as you see everyone wearing their clothes here. I currently love their cafe capris for spring and you can’t beat their chino shorts for summer. I recently bought a pair of their velvet jeans in the sale which are divine. Just be careful of their prints as you will start to recognize them the more popular they become. I still think Boden’s cashmere beats J.Crew’s price and quality.

  5. Claire Bainton says:

I love J Crew, it’s always my first port of call if I’m in NY. What I love is that delicious mix of dressed up / dressed down which makes you look like you haven’t tried too hard…. as is always pulled off to perfection by the super stylish Jenna Lyons. See you in Regent Street when it opens!! x

  6. Well after the Obama inauguration overhere J Crew sales should could through the roof! Plus the today show interviewed this morning Jenna Lyons Executive Creative Director of J Crew. I do love some of their clothing lines but it can be a tad expensive. I normally pop in every few weeks to see what they have instore over here in Lennox Mall Atlanta Georgia.
