Flowers And Layers

Freezing temperatures and snow days call for bright prints to encourage thoughts of spring. They also mean a great excuse to layer up with the J.Crew black sweater and repeatedly pull on the Clarks ankle boots – both the product of extensive, ongoing searches that I can finally tick off and file under Mission Complete.

In a bid to keep warm, I’ve learned that all layers must start with a close fitting tank/vest/cami top and then build from there. Which kind of harps back to the days when as a child, I was constantly reminded to “put a vest on”. Finally I get it!

Which winter staples are you relying on this season?

I love the floral trousers, look lovely with the J Crew sweater and the Clsrks ankle boots.

You’re great at layering, it’s something I’m yet to get the hang of!

The trousers are fabulous – right up my alley! The JCrew sweater looks awesome too – I just received some new shorts and capris last night from them – I’m already moving on to Spring here in Atlanta!

Like you, a shirt under a sweater (Gap blue and grey striped and a bright orange one and JCrew French Hen are my favourite). Skinny jeans in boots and a North Face puffy coat when I’m out and about. Soft hoodie and JCrew yoga pants lazying a home by the fire!! Oh and always a scarf as I hate my neck getting cold.
