Down Time Boots

Before Christmas, Junior Child and I were both sent a lovely pair of Victoria Plimsoll ankle boots from their Autumn Winter collection. And seeing as the holiday season was all about down time, we had plenty of opportunities to put our new footwear to the test.

JC renamed her Santana lace-ups “My Victoria boots” and wanted to wear them at every opportunity. Try telling a new-shoe obsessed seven year old that suede and rain don’t really go together – especially when there’s a lot of rain. I can’t say I blame her for taking to wearing them indoors too, especially when they have a fur lining.

I christened my Edita fur lined babies my down time boots – perfect for wearing with skinny jeans or with a cuffed casual trouser.

If you’re after some casual footwear, Victoria Plimsoll currently have a sale on with lots of reductions. Style and comfort for you and a guarantee to have your child jumping with happiness – what more could you ask of a shoe?

Happy New Year! I love those boots, and especially that shade of green! I have a question, though… How does one wear socks with boots of that height? Is it an ankle sock job or long socks or no socks at all? It looks as though you have your jeans tucked into ankle socks…am I right? xx

Happy New Year to you too Lovely! A very good question indeed and one Im still pondering! These were short ankle socks with jeans tucked in but think I need some chunkier or longer ones for more bunch up factor! With rolled up trousers when the weather is warmer would go with hidden little socks I think. Its all about the right sock! xx

A little star in the making I see! JC really is adorable- Happy New Year to you both. I suspect you have made the right decision with flats, I bought high heels from Reiss, fabulous but not that practical in this weather!
