Christmas Gift Guide For The Beauty Product Obsessive

Welcome to the Online Stylist Christmas gift guide…first up it’s the turn of beauty products. As one who invests a fair amount of time and money in a beauty regime, I love the thrill of opening a shiny parcel that holds the promise of a shiny new me on Christmas morning.

Here’s a few of my favourites that would make the season bright – some I’ve tried and some I really want to try…

1. Bakel Pure Peel – available at Fenwicks – Full Bakel range at SpaceNK 2. Ciate Tutu sequin manicure – Selfridges 3. Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil Fresh Pink – SpaceNK 4. Kiehl’s Creme de Corps Kenny Scharf – SpaceNK 5. Benefit Double the BAD mascara & eye pencil 6. Marc Jacobs Dot gift set – Selfridges

If your skin is in need of a little seasonal brightening, pick me up then you’d be in good hands with the Bakel Pure Peel mask (1). I was recently sent this beauty secret in a jar to try and loved it. After applying to cleansed skin and leaving it on five minutes, I felt the mild tingling sensation as mentioned in the instructions. Wash off and hey presto – clean, refreshed skin.

Talking of cleansing, I finally tracked down my beloved Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil Fresh Pink (3) whilst browsing in SpaceNK a few weeks ago. I can honestly say I’ve never used a better cleanser – it’s a joy to use. And as for the delicate rose fragrance..pure heaven.

Call me a sucker for a sequin but Santa, if you’re listening, please drop by Selfridges and pick up this Ciate sequin manicure set in Tutu (2). Thanks ever so.

A fan of Benefit Bad Gal Lash mascara, I’d love to find this set (5) lurking in my stocking come Christmas morning – perfect for night time smoky eyes.

Anything Kiehl’s is always well received by me but when it’s Limited Edition Kiehl’s, even better! I love the Kenny Scharf design bottle of their wonderful Creme de Corps (4) – with some of the proceeds going to Great Ormond Street hospital, the festive feel good factor is doubled.

And last but by no means least…a little bit of Marc Jacobs in the form of the adorable Dot floral fragrance with body lotion and shower gel. The thought of just seeing this bottle on my dressing table is enough to bring a smile to my face.

Do you love to receive a new beauty gift at Christmas or will you be buying for a fellow obsessive this year?
