I’ve recently discovered a few gems whilst in indulging in my ongoing beauty product obsession so here’s a few of my favorites that I’ve been sent to try and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

First up a great body scrub that came in last months GlossyBox. Whilst I don’t bother as much with the faux glow in winter, I still like to use a good exfoliating scrub in the shower at least once a week. It really helps with the absorption of body lotion which in turn, helps to fend off seasonal flakiness. The Anatomicals comically titled “Don’t Just Clean It Woman, Scrub It” body scrub is brilliant. Not only does the pink and yellow packaging cheer up a morning shower but the pink grapefruit fragrance is perfect for morning zing. We don’t get much morning zing in this house so I’d definitely track this one down and buy it.
Thomas Sabo Glam ‘N’ Soul fragrance – £56.95
For AW12, luxury brand Thomas Sabo have launched their first fragrance for women called Glam ‘N’ Soul. Offering up notes of bergamot, lychee and pink pepper mixed with the more delicate scents of rose, waterlily and magnolia, this perfume smells delicious. It’s beautifully packaged making it an instant choice for as Christmas gift for a glamor loving friend and the globe shaped bottle attracted the attention of Junior Child in an instant. No. Mummy does not share beauty products!
Stay-Matte Hydrator – £32, Instant Perfecting Makeup – £23
Last but by no means least, I got to try out two great pore refining products from Clinique. I’m a huge fan of this brand and always on the look out for anything to help minimize my most hated, pesky pores. I used the Stay-Matte Hydrator in conjunction with Instant Perfecting Makeup and loved them both. I was initially concerned about a daytime moisturiser that mattifies and controls surface shine as in the past, with a complexion that’s prone to dryness, my skin has been left feeling sapped of all moisture.
Not so with this – it glides on and dries to a velvet finish that really compliments the foundation. The colour I’ve been sent is one shade darker than my normal tone but is perfect for days when I’ve been at the fake tan. My base definitely holds off the shine for longer and my complexion looks smoother when I wear these two together – I’ve been using it on days when I know I’ll be getting a few personal style shots for the blog.
