Choo 24:7 Stylemakers Launches

When a girl gets an invite from Jimmy Choo that requires her to be in London for 9.00am, even though she lives nearly a two hour train ride away, she accepts! Which is why last week I found myself staying in the capital overnight so I could be at the presentation about the launch of the new interactive street style micro site Choo 24:7 bright and early the next morning.

Myself and it seemed, the entire fashion blogging collective together with various online editors, descended on the The Arts Club in Dover Street just in time for coffee and breakfast. In amongst a bevy of Choo beauty in the form of handbags and heels we got a sneak peek at the launch of the interactive photo gallery of street style images for which, Jimmy Choo have collaborated with street style photographer, Eddie Newton.

As well as being able to view images of Jimmy Choo style from New York to London, Tokyo to Dubai and Shanghai to Sao Paulo, you can join the very stylish Choo 24:7 community. The new site invites fans and photographers to participate by submitting their own street style images illustrating their personal style. A selection of the best images are uploaded and shared with fans internationally reflecting the global personality of Jimmy Choo. Stylemaker photo galleries can be shared via social media and images tagged on Instagram tagged with #choo247 are also fed to the site. Like I need an incentive to get my Choo’s on!

After catching up with fellow fashion bloggers, myself and Helen from The It Guide tried on a pair of Choo’s to pose for the Stylemaker photo booth – well it seemed rude not really…

It would be impossible not to have fun surrounded by all those beautiful shoes but the event really was wonderful so a big thank you to Jimmy Choo for being such gracious (and glamorous) hosts. Now that Choo 24:7 is live I think I may have to squeeze a pair of Choo’s into my suitcase for a St Tropez outfit photo in July…

    Such a clever concept from the marketing peeps at Jimmy Choo. Have just been to the microsite and love it. It’s refreshing to see a luxury brand create a campaign solely on street style and they done really well with the social networking bit too.
