UGG Spring Summer 2012

Remember all the fun we had with talk of UGG boots and whether wearing them was actually a disease or the god given right of women with cold feet or severely over-abused tootsies from one too many days spent in high heels? I admitted my addiction (yes…three pairs), did you admit yours?

I was recently invited to the UGG Spring Summer 2012 press day but sadly couldn’t attend as I wasn’t due to be in London until the day after. However I was still keen to see what the brand had to offer for the warmer weather to come…and was more than pleasantly surprised to see what the new collection looks like. If these images are anything to go by, it seems they are well on the way to achieving their goal of combining luxurious comfort with sophisticated design.

Inspired by the Mid-Century Movement in architecture and design and vibrant hues of the Adriatic coastline, using bold design and exotic materials, the SS12 collection comprises some gorgeous footwear and covetable bags. I’m a huge advocate of the wedge sandal – the spongier the wedge, the higher the comfort factor so I’d certainly be keen to give one or two of their new designs a whirl.

The new UGG collections will be available online and in flagship stores from 1st February 2012.

What do you think of the new collection and will you be looking to ignore the man in the white coat threatening to UGG-cinate you?

  1. Nope, I will never wear UGGS :) (I *might* consider them only if I’m back in Oz one day and need something warm to tuck my toes into after I’ve been surfing)

  2. To my own surprise, I have recently spotted an ad with UGG wedges and really really liked them. Who knows…

I’ve always sworn that I will NEVER wear Uggs. But if this is what they are now offering, I might have to back off that statement…
