Why I Heart My New Hudson Jeans
As one who regularly extols the virtues of premium denim, I was very excited to be asked to road test a pair of jeans from Hudson. Good friend S cottoned onto these jeans a couple of years ago and has been telling me ever since how amazing they are… and the miracles they perform on your bottom. I can think of no better incentive to give them a whirl.
Hudson is an LA denim brand infused with the British cool factor – hence their recognisable Union Jack logo. They’re a favourite among A-lister’s including Jennifer Aniston, Katie Holmes, Gisele Bundchen and the Sisters Middleton.
They also have the gorgeous Georgia May Jagger who not only sizzles in their ad campaigns but who collaborated with Hudson to produce a denim collection inspired by the rebellious soul of London and the ease and freedom of California.
But enough with the glamour and back to the realities of finding great jeans. For flattering curves and soft denim comfort with s-t-r-e-t-c-h, these Mid Rise Christa flares get a ten out of ten from me. And as is often the way with premium denim that fits properly, I was able to go down a size. The feeling you get from that is worth the money in itself…there may even have been a little dance in the changing room.
Christa Mid Rise Flares – £215 Selfridges
You can tell I do actually “heart” them – there aren’t many things I’ll climb a tree in very high DVF ankle boots for on a windswept day in the New Forest! If you’re looking to secure a pair of these bottom reducing jeans, Donna Ida carry a fantastic selection of Hudson as do Selfridges.
Hudson skinny snakeskin – £245, Hudson baby bootcut – £245, Hudson skinny corduroy – £210 All at Selfridges Online.
Also worth checking out but for very different reasons is Patrick Schwarzenegger (yes, son of Arnie) who is very easy on the eye for the Hudson mens campaign!
