Well I think a What Olivia Wore post is definitely overdue – I’ve been far too busy getting my fix from reading her blog. Its had a phenomenal amount of traffic as predicted and there seem to be those that love it and those who criticize it for many different reasons. I’ve heard moans about the number of contributors but really, she wasn’t ever going to be approaching it in the way that most bloggers do – sitting alone at our desks, tapping away hour after hour now was she? Others don’t like the photo quality of some of the images. Many of them are outfit snaps as other bloggers sometimes post, myself included, and the press will have usually issued a high quality image within 24 hours so I don’t think it matters quite so much.
But enough wittering about her blog, lets get down to the closet contents! At the end of October Olivia attended the launch of one her favourite designers, Giambattista Valli’s Macy’s Impulse collection in New York.
She naturally wore one of his dresses from the collection and paired it with a military inspired blazer, a sequin embellished bag by Mango and silver brogues that some say were Sergio Rossi and others think Zara. Either way I can’t find them anywhere and I’ve kind of fallen in love with the alternative I found at Topshop.
